In week 6 (February 1-7, 2015) all top Hindi GECs either saw their ratings decline or stay the same, except for Star Plus that recorded an increase in its viewership. Colors has once again regained the second spot in the Hindi GEC space, despite losing some ground.

According to data sourced from TAM subscribers, Star Plus saw its ratings increase to 645 million GVTs from 616 a week ago. In week 4, the leader in the Hindi GEC space had recorded 659 million GVTs.

Colors, on the other hand, saw its ratings drop to 454 million GVTs from 477 in week 5. The channel, however, managed to regain the second spot. A week ago, the channel had lost the spot to Zee TV.

Zee TV recorded a major decline in its ratings this week. The viewership dropped to 451 million GVTs from 485 in week 5. Life OK maintained its No. 4 spot on the ratings board, despite a decline this week. Its ratings fell to 310 million GVTs in week 6 from 338 in week 5. The channel had managed to gain significant ground in its ratings last week on the back of ‘Life OK Screen Awards 2015’. Its ratings climbed up to 338 million GVTs last week compared with 299 in week 4.

SAB TV saw its ratings stay the same as last week at 294 million GVTs. The channel had lost ground in week 5 and saw its ratings slip to 294 million GVTs from 305 in week 4.

The ratings of Sony Entertainment Television (SET) dipped to 236 million GVTs in week 6 compared with 263 the last week. The channel had recorded 238 million GVTs in week 4.

The viewership of Zee Anmol increased marginally to 96 million GVTs from 95 in week 5. Star Utsav saw a significant rise in its ratings to 91 million GVTs this week from 74 a week ago.

Rishtey’s ratings increased to 57 million GVTs in week 6 from 51 the previous week. Big Magic saw a significant rise in its ratings. It recorded 53 million GVTs in week 6 compared with 42 in week 5.

Sony Pal saw its ratings dip to 26 million GVTs in week 6 from 29 in week 5. Zindagi, on the other hand, saw its ratings remain the same as last week at 18 million GVTs.

Sahara One’s ratings increased to 10 million GVTs this week compared with 8 the previous week.
